If you are connected with me on social media you'll probably have seen the video that I shared on my health. If you haven't seen it, I shared what I learnt on the 11th July in conversation with my consultant. He informed me that the Multiple Myeloma that I live with is aggressive and that if I don't respond to a treatment, I have months to live. I have named this space, (inspired by someone I met called Isobel), between living and dying 'the liminal space'.
Having not responded to any of the treatments that I have had for any length of time since my diagnosis in November 2023, I entered into a clinical trial with some desperation. Multiple Myeloma is an incurable cancer so treatments are always about buying time rather than being 'cured' and I desperately want more time!
The wonderful news that I can share is that a few weeks into the trial is that I am responding! And responding really well! The liminal space has just received a good sized expansion.
While I have made some drastic changes to my life in response to that conversation, continuing to make an impact through my work remains an important part of who I am. My work is personal and it is deeply important to me. The question has been, how do I continue to share decades of experience and learning while working less, while ensuring that I spend as much time with my family as possible and making sure that there is enough time to manage my health and all the hospital appointments? I have found a way!

I will still be doing a handful of keynotes over the coming months and a much reduced number of training events BUT the big shift is that I'm also going to be taking on a very exclusive number of coaching clients, providing 1 to 1 TI Leadership coaching. I've been asked to provide this for years and now feels the perfect time to do so.
What is also really beautiful about this is that I will be providing this through TICS; the company that I founded which is now owned by the wonderful Jessica Parker. Letting go of TICS was one of those big decisions I mentioned earlier! You can find out more about what the TI Coaching offer looks like here and for everything else, you can contact lyndsaypa@lisacherry.co.uk
The liminal space has brought about a sharpness of what really matters and demanded that I consider how I really want to spend the rest of my time here. Over time, I will write more about this space between living and dying. It's a tricky subject; a subject that I have found most people do not wish to talk about. But if we are to live, then we will die and I have found a deep peace with having that reality confront me.
May we all enjoy the time we have, deeply....
