Is it time to grow yet?

Well I introduced you to my allotment last week which was in such good condition that I managed to plant straight in, potatoes and carrots after relatively little digging and preparation. Such a relief!

So I immediately planted some seeds at home ready for outdoor planting as soon as they are ready.

I am providing them with all that they need to flourish while they sit comfortably in the warmth of the conservatory. I’ve planted Rocket, cauliflower, peppers and tomatoes.

And guess what? The seeds, after only four days are now starting to push their way up through the soil.

They are not procrastinating, or thinking about whether or not it’s a good idea, or whether the other plant pots will approve if they emerge too soon or it’s not at a socially acceptable pace, nor are they fighting their purpose. No. They are living their purpose, in their time, just as they are meant to, regardless of what the other seeds are doing, but remaining close by all the pots and enjoying the air and I think that there is much to be learned from this….

  1. I love your simple metaphor! Just so sweet! And I love the fact that is it IS short – because it is quick and easy to read in these days with so much to read! :)

Thank you Tina…You’re so right about all the reading we could do which is why I like to go for the less is more philosophy :0)

Lovely to see you here and thanks for taking the time to comment… x

  2. This is short and powerful. Particularly like your little plants not procrastinating, comparing, seeking approval or going off purpose to be something they are not. Lots of lessons for all, thanks.

  3. Great analogy. Love it and so simple.
